1d: DEMONSTRATING
KNOWLEDGE OF RESOURCES

Art Lesson Website Resource Log

Education 325 Social Studies Resource Log

I believe I have and extensive knowledge of resources for classroom use and for extending my professional skills. I am continuously reading new information and I attend as many school professional learning events available through the school or district. In the community, through professional organizations and universities, I volunteer my time to conduct research, educate youth in the community, and help guide new parents with advice through networking events with Birth to Three and and Mission West Virginia. As for the using the internet, I usually fall into an abyss of materials that I am constantly bookmarking after reading for reference materials to have at hand.
During my time here at West Virginia State University, I have had an excellent opportunity to
acquire beneficial resources for my future classroom, and for my education and extension of learning. Above are two resources for lessons and materials related to both Social Studies and Art. I am happy to have art resources because a lot of schools like mine do not offer art full-time or at all. I have shown only two examples, but there is a plethora of information that I have received and can share with my future colleagues. My knowledge of obtaining extensive teaching resources and continuing educational research is extensive and my ability to use new technology has grown astronomically. I am confident that I can use these resources responsibly in my own career as well as in my volunteer work in the community.
